GlycoErase™ G6PC1 Knockout HEK293T Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF509)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ G6PC1 knockout HEK293T cell line is a human embryonic kidney-derived model in which G6PC1 expression has been eliminated. G6PC1 encodes the catalytic subunit of glucose-6-phosphatase, catalyzing the final step of gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. Its loss in HEK293T cells provides a system to study hepatic-like glucose production pathways, altered acetyl-CoA flux, and metabolic dysregulation relevant to glycogen storage disease type I, supporting investigations in metabolic control and therapeutic strategy development.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target G6PC1
Full Name Glucose-6-Phosphatase Catalytic Subunit 1
Alternative Name G6PC; G6PT; GSD1; GSD1a; G6Pase
Location 17q21.31
Gene ID 2538
Summary Glucose-6-phosphatase (G6PC) catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to glucose and phosphate, which is critical in glucose homeostasis, gluconeogenesis, and glycogenolysis. Mutations cause glycogen storage disease type I (von Gierke disease).
