GlycoErase™ PGM3 Knockout HEK293 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF433)

Datasheet

1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PGM3 knockout HEK293 cell line is a human embryonic kidney (HEK293) model lacking PGM3 expression. PGM3 encodes a phosphohexose mutase that interconverts glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate, linking glycogen metabolism with nucleotide sugar biosynthesis. Variants influence susceptibility to diabetic complications and immune dysregulation. This knockout provides a system for investigating carbohydrate flux, immune-metabolic pathways, and diabetic nephropathy mechanisms in a human cellular background.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PGM3
Full Name Phosphoglucomutase 3
Alternative Name AGM1; PAGM; IMD23; PGM 3
Location 6q14.1
Gene ID 5238
Summary This gene encodes a member of the phosphohexose mutase family, mediating both glycogen formation and utilization by interconverting glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate. A SNP in this gene may affect diabetic nephropathy resistance. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
For Research Use Only.
