GlycoErase™ PPP1R3C Knockout HepG2 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF690)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PPP1R3C knockout HepG2 cell line lacks PPP1R3C, a PP1 subunit that regulates glycogen metabolism by activating glycogen synthase and inhibiting phosphorylase. DNA hypermethylation of this gene is linked to colorectal cancer. This knockout model enables research in glycogen metabolism, epigenetics, and cancer metabolism.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PPP1R3C
Full Name Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 3C
Alternative Name PTG; PPP1R5
Location 10q23.32
Gene ID 5507
Summary The protein encoded here is a carbohydrate-binding component of PP1 that enhances glycogen synthesis while limiting breakdown by reducing phosphorylase activity. Aberrant methylation of this gene has been detected in colorectal cancers.
