Introduction

Synthetic monophosphoryl 3-Deacyl lipid A is a MPLA structural analog produced by chemical synthesis. MPLAs activates TLR4 but does not activate TLR2 reflecting its high purity. It has been tested extensively in animals using a variety of antigens. In adjuvant effect, it demonstrated the equivalency to the bacterially-derived MPL.
