Description
MGAT3 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks MGAT3 protein, mannosyl (alpha-1,3-)-glycoprotein beta-1,4-O-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, converting high mannose to hybrid/complex N-glycans in liver cells. MGAT3 knockout in HepG2 cells enables study of N-glycan processing disruption in liver cancer, potentially affecting hybrid/complex N-glycan formation on hepatic glycoproteins and glycoprotein functions impacting liver tumor cells.
