GlycoErase™ LDHD Knockout Jurkat Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF767

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoErase™ LDHD knockout Jurkat cell line is a Jurkat T cell model without LDHD expression. LDHD encodes a D-isomer-specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase with activities including D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase. Mutations alter stereospecific metabolic processing. This knockout line enables the study of rare metabolic pathways, stereospecific metabolism, and mitochondrial energy regulation in immune responses.

Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. The similar protein in yeast has both D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase activities. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
