GlycoErase™ PGM1 Knockout HEK293 Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF432

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoErase™ PGM1 knockout HEK293 cell line is a HEK293 model without PGM1 expression. PGM1 encodes phosphoglucomutase 1, catalyzing the conversion of glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate, critical for glycogen and glucose metabolism. Mutations lead to glycogen storage disease type 14. This knockout provides a human system for studying carbohydrate metabolism, inherited glycogen disorders, and therapeutic strategies for metabolic syndromes.

Summary
This gene encodes phosphoglucomutase (PGM), which catalyzes the interconversion of glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate. Mutations in this gene cause glycogen storage disease type 14. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
