GlycoErase™ PRKAA1 Knockout HepG2 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF702)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PRKAA1 knockout HepG2 cell line is a HepG2 model lacking PRKAA1, the α1 catalytic subunit of AMPK, which senses cellular energy via AMP/ATP changes and regulates metabolic pathways. This knockout facilitates studies of energy-stress signaling, metabolic rewiring, and AMPK-dependent pathway pharmacology in liver metabolism.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PRKAA1
Full Name Protein Kinase Amp-Activated Catalytic Subunit Alpha 1
Alternative Name AMPK; AMPKa1; AMPK alpha 1
Location 5p13.1
Gene ID 5562
Summary The encoded protein is the alpha catalytic chain of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which responds to increased AMP/ATP ratios by phosphorylating metabolic enzymes to conserve energy. Several isoforms arise from alternative transcripts.
