Description
The UGGT2 knockout KD cell line, derived from an extra-cranial rhabdoid tumor, lacks UGGT2 protein, UDP-glucose glycoprotein glucosyltransferase 2 also involved in ER protein folding quality control, potentially redundant with UGGT1. UGGT2 knockout in rhabdoid cancer cells enables study of protein folding quality control impairment in this pediatric sarcoma, potentially revealing functional redundancy/specificity of UGGT1/UGGT2 in ER protein quality control in rhabdoid tumors.
