GlycoErase™ ALDOC Knockout HEK293 Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF379

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoErase™ ALDOC knockout HEK293 cell line is a human embryonic kidney (HEK293) model in which ALDOC expression has been eliminated. ALDOC is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the aldol cleavage of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate and fructose-1-phosphate, and it is expressed predominantly in neuronal tissues such as the hippocampus and Purkinje cells. Removal of ALDOC in the HEK293 background creates a versatile model to investigate glycolytic regulation, neuron-associated energy pathways, and cross-talk between metabolism and brain-related functions, supporting applications in neurobiology, metabolic disorder studies, and glycolysis-focused drug screening.
