GlycoErase™ ADRB2 Knockout Jurkat Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF723)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ ADRB2 knockout Jurkat cell line removes ADRB2, the beta-2 adrenergic receptor, a G protein-coupled receptor involved in rapid signal transduction and regulating calcium channels, adenylyl cyclase, and cAMP-dependent kinases. This knockout is ideal for studying GPCR signaling, adrenergic pathway modulation, and immune cell signaling in T cells, with applications in immunology, cancer therapy, and metabolic disorders.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target ADRB2
Full Name Adrenoceptor Beta 2
Alternative Name BAR; ARB2; B2AR; ADRBR; ADRB2R; BETA2AR
Location 5q32
Gene ID 154
Summary This gene encodes beta-2-adrenergic receptor which is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. This receptor is directly associated with one of its ultimate effectors, the class C L-type calcium channel Ca(V)1.2. This receptor-channel complex also contains a G protein, an adenylyl cyclase, cAMP-dependent kinase, and the counterbalancing phosphatase, PP2A. The assembly of the signaling complex provides a mechanism that ensures specific and rapid signaling by this G protein-coupled receptor. This receptor is also a transcription regulator of the alpha-synuclein gene, and together, both genes are believed to be associated with risk of Parkinson's Disease. This gene is intronless. Different polymorphic forms, point mutations, and/or downregulation of this gene are associated with nocturnal asthma, obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
