GlycoErase™ AMY1C Knockout Jurkat Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF730)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ AMY1C knockout Jurkat cell line removes AMY1C, encoding a salivary alpha-amylase involved in starch and glycogen hydrolysis. This knockout model enables studies on isoform-specific roles of amylase in immune cell metabolism and carbohydrate processing in T cells, with applications in enzymology, metabolic diseases, and novel biocatalytic therapy.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target AMY1C
Full Name Amylase Alpha 1C
Alternative Name AMY1
Location 1p21.1
Gene ID 278
Summary Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the salivary gland.
