GlycoFlux™ human AMY1C overexpression Raji cell line is a stable cell line engineered to overexpress AMY1C, another salivary α-amylase isoenzyme responsible for initiating starch and glycogen breakdown. Together with AMY1A and AMY1B, AMY1C represents part of the salivary amylase cluster. This engineered model allows comparative studies of amylase isoforms, their overlapping and distinct roles in carbohydrate metabolism, and their potential contributions to metabolic remodeling in cancer.

Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the salivary gland.
