POFUT2 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks POFUT2 protein, protein O-fucosyltransferase 2, involved in O-fucosylation of cysteine knot motifs in liver cells. POFUT2 knockout in HepG2 cells allows investigation of cysteine knot O-fucosylation disruption in liver cancer, potentially affecting growth factor signaling pathways in hepatocytes and cysteine knot motif protein functions in liver tumors.

Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Adds O-fucose to serine or threonine residues within cystine knot motifs in EGF-like or thrombospondin type-1 repeats, contributing to protein function.
