GlycoErase™ PPP1R16A knockout HepG2 cell line removes PPP1R16A, a MYPT subunit that directs PP1c to myosin targets. Phosphorylation by PKA activates PP1c in this isoform. This knockout system allows analysis of noncanonical PP1 regulation, cell motility, and liver-specific metabolic pathways.

Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
This MYPT subunit directs PP1c to myosin light chains and, unlike other MYPT members, becomes an activator of PP1c when phosphorylated by protein kinase A.
