B3GALT6 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks B3GALT6 protein, beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase 6, Golgi-localized, involved in glycosaminoglycan linker region glycosylation in liver cells. B3GALT6 knockout in HepG2 cells allows investigation of Golgi glycosylation disruption in liver cancer, potentially affecting glycosaminoglycan linker region glycosylation in hepatocytes and Golgi-related glycosylation processes relevant to liver tumor biology.
