GlycoFlux™ human PDK3 overexpression HepG2 cell line is a stable cell line engineered to express pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 3 (PDK3), a heart- and muscle-enriched isoform that phosphorylates the E1α subunit of the PDH complex, thereby controlling the entry of glycolytic carbon into the TCA cycle. Several isoforms exist due to alternative splicing. This model enables studies of cardiac metabolism, muscle energetics, and the regulation of glucose utilization.
