16:0 LysoPS (1-Palmitoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine) is a specific molecular species of lysophosphatidylserine (LysoPS). LysoPS is a rare phospholipid mediator found at low concentrations in biological fluids and tissues, which has recently been shown to signal through dedicated G protein-coupled receptors. LysoPS can elicit various cellular responses, including promoting cell migration, triggering mast cell degranulation, modulating glucose uptake, and inducing nerve growth factor (NGF)-1 differentiation in certain cell types.
