GlycoErase™ PDK3 Knockout HepG2 Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF658

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoErase™ PDK3 knockout HepG2 cell line eliminates PDK3, a PDH kinase isoform most active in muscle and heart tissues, where it inhibits the PDH complex. This knockout supports research on tissue-specific glucose oxidation, metabolic flexibility, and cross-talk between hepatic and muscle energy pathways.

Handling Notes
Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target Information
Target
PDK3
Full Name
Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Kinase 3
Alternative Name
CMTX6; GS1-358P8.4
Location
Xp22.11
Gene ID
Summary
The protein encoded here is one of three pyruvate dehydrogenase kinases that inhibit the PDH complex by phosphorylating the E1 alpha subunit, thereby controlling the link between glycolysis and the TCA cycle. This gene is mainly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle. Several isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
