GlycoErase™ STK40 knockout CHO-K1 cell line is a CHO-K1 model in which STK40 expression has been eliminated. STK40 is a predicted serine/threonine kinase implicated in regulation of the MAPK cascade and glycogen-related processes, with cytosolic and nucleoplasmic localization. The knockout provides a tractable platform to dissect kinase signaling networks at the metabolism interface, MAPK-dependent transcriptional control, and developmental pathway regulation relevant to respiratory and metabolic biology.

Summary
Predicted to enable ATP binding activity; protein serine kinase activity; and protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Predicted to be involved in regulation of MAPK cascade. Predicted to act upstream of or within several processes, including glycogen metabolic process; lung development; and respiratory system process. Located in cytosol and nucleoplasm.
