Detection Principle
Target formate dehydrogenase (FDH) in samples undergoes specific enzymatic conversion or chromatic reaction, resulting in a distinct optical absorbance change monitored spectrophotometrically. The variation in absorbance intensity directly correlates with the concentration of target FDH.
Detection Time
Within 2 hours
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
As a pivotal biomolecule, formate dehydrogenase (FDH) plays a central role in complex physiological networks. It is responsible for driving the oxidative conversion of its substrate, typically utilizing NAD or FAD as cofactors. Moreover, evaluating its levels provides researchers with invaluable insights into metabolic alterations and health status.
Application
Tailored for accurate quantification of formate dehydrogenase (FDH) across cell biology, organelle bioenergetics, and intracellular signaling cascades.
Key Features & Advantages
Superior Accuracy; Low Background Noise; Highly Stable Signal Output
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
