The GlycoSens™ Formaldehyde Dehydrogenase (FDH) Assay Kit utilizes a highly stable detection system tailored for accurate profiling of formaldehyde dehydrogenase. It combines streamlined sample handling with superior signal-to-noise ratios to support dependable biochemical assessment in research applications.
Product Type
Coenzyme I Series
Target
FDH
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
Target formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) in samples undergoes specific enzymatic conversion or chromatic reaction, resulting in a distinct optical absorbance change monitored spectrophotometrically. The variation in absorbance intensity directly correlates with the concentration of target FDH.
Detection Time
30-60 minutes
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) is recognized as a fundamental component in biological systems. By mediating the transfer of electrons, it strictly regulates intermediate metabolic fluxes. In addition, detailed analysis of this target empowers researchers to monitor disease progression or developmental stages effectively.
Application
Designed for comprehensive functional analysis of formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) within tissue metabolism profiling, coenzyme utilization studies, and biochemical pathway modeling.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
