Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Soil Alkaline Phosphatase (S-AKP/ALP) Assay Kit offers an advanced quantitative methodology for evaluating soil alkaline phosphatase concentration with high specificity. Designed to minimize matrix background interference, this kit facilitates high-throughput scientific profiling and consistent experimental turnaround.
Product Type
Soil Series
Target
S-AKP/ALP
Kit Components
Extraction and assay buffer; Substrate Mix A; Substrate Mix B; Reaction developer
Sample Types
Soil, sediments, solid substrates
Sample Volume
20 μL - 100 μL
Detection Principle
The system measures chromatic product formation derived from target soil alkaline phosphatase activity. Absorbance changes tracked at optimal wavelengths allow precise quantitative determination of S-AKP/ALP levels.
Detection Time
30-60 minutes

Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Soil Alkaline Phosphatase
Alternate Names
Soil Alkaline Phosphatase; S-AKP; S-ALP; Soil Alkaline Phosphohydrolase
Application Notes
Background
Soil alkaline phosphatase (S-AKP/ALP) is an integral element required for robust cellular function and metabolism. Its dynamics closely reflect soil fertility, organic matter decomposition, and ecosystem health. Notably, consequently, robust measurement of this parameter is highly beneficial for comprehensive functional profiling.
Application
Essential for monitoring soil alkaline phosphatase (S-AKP/ALP) level shifts during molecular biochemistry, metabolic pathway flux analysis, and enzymology studies.
Key Features & Advantages
High Specificity; Micro-Volume Optimization; Broad Sample Compatibility
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
