The GlycoSens™ Transhydrogenase-1 (TH-1) Assay Kit provides an advanced, quantitative micro-volume spectrophotometric method for determining TH-1 in biological specimens. Featuring superior kinetic linearity and high throughput compatibility, it facilitates accurate biochemical profiling.
Product Type
Oxidative Phosphorylation Series
Target
TH-1
Kit Components
Reaction Buffer; Specific Substrate; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
TH-1 catalyzes hydride transfer from NADH to NADP+. Synthetic analog 3-acetylpyridine adenine dinucleotide phosphate (APADP+) replaces NADP+ and is reduced to APADPH, which absorbs specifically at 375 nm. Activity is calculated by monitoring absorbance accumulation rate at 375 nm.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Detection Wavelength
375 nm
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Transhydrogenase-1
Alternate Names
Transhydrogenase-1; TH-1; Transhydrogenase-1 Standard
Application Notes
Background
As a pivotal biomolecule, transhydrogenase-1 (TH-1) plays a central role in complex physiological networks. Its concentration levels are highly indicative of the functional state and metabolic vigor of the sample. In addition, monitoring these changes is vital for evaluating bioenergetic efficiency and systemic resilience.
Application
Specifically engineered for evaluating transhydrogenase-1 (TH-1) dynamics in cell biology, pyridine nucleotide regulation, and mitochondrial membrane bioenergetics research.
Key Features & Advantages
High Specificity; Rapid Reaction Protocol; Stringent Quality Control
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
