GlycoErase™ AMY1A Knockout HEK293T Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF496)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ AMY1A knockout HEK293T cell line is a HEK293T model lacking AMY1A expression. AMY1A encodes a salivary isoform of alpha-amylase, a secreted enzyme responsible for hydrolyzing 1,4-alpha-glucosidic bonds in dietary starch and glycogen, initiating carbohydrate digestion. The knockout of AMY1A in the HEK293T background provides a tool to study amylase function, polysaccharide processing, and digestive enzyme regulation, and supports applications in carbohydrate metabolism analysis, enzyme function studies, and therapeutic enzyme research.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target AMY1A
Full Name Amylase Alpha 1A
Alternative Name AMY1
Location 1p21.1
Gene ID 276
Summary Amylases are secreted enzymes that break down 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, initiating the digestion of starch and glycogen. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the salivary gland. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants, encoding the same protein.
