GlycoErase™ FBP1 Knockout HEK293T Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF508

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoErase™ FBP1 knockout HEK293T cell line is a human embryonic kidney (HEK293T) model lacking FBP1 expression. FBP1 encodes fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase, a rate-setting gluconeogenic enzyme that converts fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to fructose-6-phosphate and shapes redox balance. Deletion in HEK293T cells provides a human platform to study gluconeogenic control points, metabolic plasticity under hypoxia or growth factor signaling, and disease mechanisms linked to hypoglycemia and acidosis.

Summary
Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 is a regulatory enzyme in gluconeogenesis, catalyzing the conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate into fructose 6-phosphate and phosphate. Deficiency leads to hypoglycemia and metabolic acidosis.
