GlycoErase™ SIGLEC7 knockout A549 cell line is a human lung epithelial cancer model where SIGLEC7 expression has been abolished. SIGLEC7 is predicted to act as a sialic acid-binding receptor involved in cell adhesion, with localization to the plasma membrane. The absence of SIGLEC7 in the A549 background provides a focused tool to investigate cell-cell adhesion processes, glycan-mediated recognition, and membrane receptor biology, while supporting applications in cancer research, immunology, and therapeutic development.
