GlycoFlux™ Human LDHA Overexpression HepG2 Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF646

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoFlux™ human LDHA overexpression HepG2 cell line is a stable cell line engineered to express lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA), the skeletal muscle-predominant isoform catalyzing pyruvate-to-lactate conversion during anaerobic glycolysis. Mutations are associated with exertional myoglobinuria, while aberrant LDHA activity drives tumor glycolysis (Warburg effect). This model provides a platform for cancer metabolism, hypoxia adaptation, and therapeutic intervention studies.

Handling Notes
Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.

Summary
This gene encodes the A chain of lactate dehydrogenase, which catalyzes the reversible conversion of pyruvate to lactate with concurrent oxidation of NADH to NAD during anaerobic glycolysis. Predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, it belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. Mutations have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria. Several nonfunctional pseudogenes exist in the human genome.
