Na+K+-ATPase breaks down ATP to produce ADP and inorganic phosphorus. The activity of ATPase is determined by measuring the amount of inorganic phosphorus.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Sodium/Potassium-Transporting Adenosine Triphosphatase; Na+/K+-ATPase; Sodium/Potassium-Transporting Adenosine Triphosphatase Standard
Application Notes
Background
The presence and activity of sodium/potassium-transporting adenosine triphosphatase (Na+/K+-ATPase) are closely linked to overall organismal health. Its activity is absolutely required for the proper functioning of muscle contraction and nerve impulse transmission. Investigating its functional state is crucial for identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Application
Ideal for investigating sodium/potassium-transporting adenosine triphosphatase (Na+K+-ATPase) activity and metabolic turnover during functional metabolomics, membrane gradient analysis, and metabolic homeostasis research.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
