Description
GlycoErase™ SIGLEC8 knockout HEK293 cell line is a HEK293 model in which SIGLEC8 expression has been removed. SIGLEC8, a member of the CD33-related subgroup, contains ITIM and SAP-binding motifs that mediate inhibitory immune signaling. This knockout HEK293 line provides a valuable system to investigate immune checkpoint regulation, inhibitory pathways, and cell-cell signaling, while supporting applications in immune modulation research, antibody validation, and viral biology.

Summary
SIGLECs, including SIGLEC8, are type I transmembrane proteins that exhibit unique expression patterns, mainly in hematopoietic cells.
