Description
GlycoErase™ SIGLEC8 knockout Jurkat cell line is a Jurkat T lymphocyte line in which SIGLEC8 expression has been removed. SIGLEC8 contains conserved ITIM and SAP-binding motifs mediating inhibitory signaling. The knockout Jurkat background provides a system for studying T cell immune checkpoints, inhibitory pathways, and apoptosis, supporting applications in immunotherapy development, cytokine regulation, and translational T cell research.

Summary
SIGLECs, such as SIGLEC8, are type I transmembrane proteins with distinctive expression patterns, primarily in hematopoietic cells. SIGLEC8, located at 19q13.3-q13.4, contains conserved cytoplasmic motifs, including an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) and a SLAM-like motif, which interacts with the SLAM-associated protein (SAP).
