Description
UGGT1 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks UGGT1 protein, UDP-glucose glycoprotein glucosyltransferase 1, involved in ER protein folding quality control in liver cells. UGGT1 knockout in HepG2 cells allows investigation of protein folding quality control impairment in liver cancer, potentially affecting ER stress response in hepatocytes, unfolded protein response in liver cells, and protein folding dependent liver tumor cell functions.
