Description UGGT2 knockout HepG2 cell line lacks UGGT2 protein, UDP-glucose glycoprotein glucosyltransferase 2, also involved in ER protein folding quality control in liver cells, potentially redundant with UGGT1. UGGT2 knockout in HepG2 cells enables study of protein folding quality control impairment in liver cancer, potentially revealing functional redundancy or specificity of UGGT1/UGGT2 in ER protein quality control within liver tumors.
