GlycoFlux™ Human SIGLEC12 Overexpression Jurkat Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF861

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoFlux™ human SIGLEC12 overexpression Jurkat cell line is a stable T-cell based model engineered to overexpress SIGLEC12, an immunoglobulin-like lectin receptor that transmits inhibitory signals through ITIM and SLAM-like motifs. Activation leads to SHP1/2 recruitment, dampening macrophage-driven immune responses. With multiple transcript variants arising from alternative splicing, SIGLEC12 plays a complex role in shaping immune tolerance and host-pathogen interactions. This glycoengineered Jurkat model enables precise investigation of glycan-receptor biology, T-cell cross-talk with inhibitory lectins, and the role of SIGLEC12 in immune checkpoint pathways.

Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target Information
Target
SIGLEC12
Full Name
Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin 12
Alternative Name
S2V, SLG, SIGLECL1, Siglec-XII, Sialic Acid Binding Ig Like Lectin
Location
19q13.41
Gene ID
Summary
This gene encodes a member of the SIGLEC3-like subfamily, characterized by extracellular V-set immunoglobulin-like domains, followed by two C2-set domains, along with cytoplasmic ITIM and SLAM-like motifs. Upon tyrosine phosphorylation, the protein recruits SHP1 and SHP2, functioning as an inhibitory receptor in macrophage signaling regulation. The gene is located on 19q13.4, with multiple transcript variants due to alternative splicing.
