The GlycoSens™ Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target choline acetyltransferase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of choline acetyltransferase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect ChAT content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) is an integral element required for robust cellular function and metabolism. This catalytic protein strictly regulates substrate turnover to meet the dynamic physiological needs of the cell. In addition, investigating its functional state is crucial for identifying novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Application
Essential for monitoring choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) level shifts during molecular biochemistry, metabolic pathway flux analysis, and enzymology studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Stable Signal Output; Excellent Reproducibility; Ready-to-Use Reagents
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
