Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Exochitinase Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target exochitinase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Other Series
Target
Exochitinase
Kit Components
Extraction and assay buffer; Substrate Mix A; Substrate Mix B; Reaction developer
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
5 μL - 20 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of exochitinase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect exochitinase content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 2 hours
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Exochitinase
Alternate Names
Exochitinase; Exo-chitinase
Application Notes
Background
As a pivotal biomolecule, exochitinase plays a central role in complex physiological networks. This catalytic protein strictly regulates substrate turnover to meet the dynamic physiological needs of the cell. Evaluating its levels provides researchers with invaluable insights into metabolic alterations and health status.
Application
Essential for monitoring exochitinase level shifts during molecular biochemistry, metabolic pathway flux analysis, and enzymology studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Superior Accuracy; Low Background Noise; Highly Stable Signal Output
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
