Description
GlycoErase™ PPP2CA knockout CHO-K1 cell line is a CHO-K1 model in which PPP2CA, the α catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), has been eliminated. PP2A is a major Ser/Thr phosphatase that negatively regulates cell growth and division via diverse regulatory subunits. The knockout enables analysis of PP2A-dependent tumor suppression, cell-cycle phosphoregulation, and phosphatase inhibitor responses in a controllable CHO background.

It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. This gene encodes an alpha isoform of the catalytic subunit.
