GlycoFlux™ Human PGK1 Overexpression HepG2 Cell Line

CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF663

Datasheet Request COA
Overview
Description
GlycoFlux™ human PGK1 overexpression HepG2 cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses phosphoglycerate kinase 1, which catalyzes 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate → 3-phosphoglycerate and moonlights as a secreted angiogenesis cofactor. Use it to link ATP generation and secreted PGK1 levels to glycan-dependent secretion, extracellular stability, and receptor engagement, and to profile how UDP-sugar availability alters hepatic secretome glyco-codes.

Summary
The encoded protein catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate in glycolysis and can act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. It is also secreted by tumor cells to promote angiogenesis via angiostatin generation. Deficiency can cause hemolytic anemia and neurological symptoms. Pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 19, 21, and X.
