The GlycoSens™ Aldehyde Dehydrogenase (ALDH) Activity Assay Kit offers an advanced quantitative methodology for evaluating aldehyde dehydrogenase activity concentration with high specificity. Designed to minimize matrix background interference, this kit facilitates high-throughput scientific profiling and consistent experimental turnaround.
Product Type
Coenzyme I Series
Target
ALDH
Kit Components
Sample Lysis Buffer; Substrate; Detection Reagent; Standard
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
5 μL - 20 μL
Detection Principle
The system measures chromatic product formation derived from target aldehyde dehydrogenase activity. Absorbance changes tracked at optimal wavelengths allow precise quantitative determination of ALDH activity levels.
Detection Time
Within 2 hours
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
The presence and activity of aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) activity are closely linked to overall organismal health. Its enzymatic action supports metabolic redox homeostasis and efficient energy conversion pathways. Notably, thus, accurate determination using this assay supports advanced exploration in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Application
Widely applicable for tracking aldehyde dehydrogenase activity fluctuations across agricultural biotechnology, crop growth regulation, and physiological stress responses.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
