TT3 is a core component used, together with helper lipids like DMG-PEG2000 and Cholesterol, to formulate lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating messenger RNA (mRNA). In in vitro assays, these TT3 LNPs demonstrated a significant enhancement in delivery efficacy, improving the transport of firefly luciferase (Fluc) mRNA.
