GlycoErase™ SIGLEC1 knockout HEK293T cell line is a human embryonic kidney-derived HEK293T line, engineered to stably express SV40 large T antigen, in which SIGLEC1 expression has been eliminated. SIGLEC1 is a sialic acid-dependent adhesion receptor implicated in immune regulation and pathogen entry. The knockout of SIGLEC1 in the HEK293T background provides a high-efficiency system for exploring glycan-mediated interactions, viral infection pathways, and immune modulation, and supports applications in transient protein expression, viral vector production, and functional genomics research.

Product Disclaimer
This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein is a lectin-like adhesion molecule that binds glycoconjugate ligands on cell surfaces in a sialic acid-dependent manner. It is a type I transmembrane protein expressed only by a subpopulation of macrophages and is involved in mediating cell-cell interactions. The protein plays an important role in multiple human diseases and bacterial and viral infections has been shown to enhance SARS-CoV-2 infection.
