Description
GlycoFlux™ AAV1-A4GALT Viral Particle delivers robust A4GALT expression via adeno-associated virus serotype 1 (AAV1), catalyzing galactose transfer to lactosylceramide to generate globotriaosylceramide (Gb3), the P(k) antigen of the P blood group system. Engineered on AAV1, this vector shows strong tissue tropism for smooth muscle, the central nervous system (CNS), retina, pancreas, inner ear, heart, and liver-enabling efficient in vitro and in vivo transduction across these targets. Ideal for glycosphingolipid pathway engineering and controlled display of Gb3 epitopes, it supports long-term expression in post-mitotic tissues and is supplied as a replication-incompetent, research-use-only preparation.
Product Type
Recombinant AAV1

Application
This AAV1 viral particle is primarily used for overexpressing target genes in muscle tissues (smooth muscle, heart) and the central nervous system (CNS) / sensory organs (retina, inner ear). It is an ideal tool for research and pre-clinical studies focused on myopathies, cardiac disorders, and certain neurological or sensory genetic diseases.
