Specifications
Product Description
The GlycoSens™ Hydroxyproline (Hyp) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target hydroxyproline in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Oxidation and Antioxidant Series
Target
Hyp
Kit Components
Assay Buffer; Enzyme Mix; Developer Solution; Standard; Reaction Stop Solution
Sample Types
Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, biological fluids
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of hydroxyproline. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect Hyp content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Hydroxyproline
Alternate Names
Hydroxyproline; Hyp; Hydroxyproline Standard; Hydroxyproline Reagent
Application Notes
Background
Hydroxyproline (Hyp) is an integral element required for robust cellular function and metabolism. This constituent influences multiple downstream effects, anchoring the stability of interrelated metabolic chains. In addition, detailed analysis of this target empowers researchers to monitor disease progression or developmental stages effectively.
Application
Optimized for high-throughput profiling of hydroxyproline (Hyp) in functional metabolomics, secondary metabolite profiling, and environmental adaptation research.
Key Features & Advantages
Optimized Reaction Dynamics; Excellent Reproducibility; Stringent Quality Control
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.

2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.

3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For Research Use Only.
