The GlycoSens™ Proline Dehydrogenase (ProDH) Assay Kit utilizes a highly stable detection system tailored for accurate profiling of proline dehydrogenase. It combines streamlined sample handling with superior signal-to-noise ratios to support dependable biochemical assessment in research applications.
Product Type
Amino Acid Metabolism Series
Target
ProDH
Kit Components
Extraction Buffer; Reaction Reagent A; Reaction Reagent B; Standard
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
Target proline dehydrogenase (ProDH) in samples undergoes specific enzymatic conversion or chromatic reaction, resulting in a distinct optical absorbance change monitored spectrophotometrically. The variation in absorbance intensity directly correlates with the concentration of target ProDH.
Detection Time
Within 45 minutes
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Proline dehydrogenase (ProDH) acts as an essential biochemical entity within diverse cellular pathways. It catalyzes critical oxidation-reduction reactions by transferring hydride groups to specific electron acceptors. Tracking its dynamics facilitates a deeper understanding of cellular responses to external stressors.
Application
Widely applicable for tracking proline dehydrogenase (ProDH) fluctuations across agricultural biotechnology, crop growth regulation, and physiological stress responses.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
