The GlycoSens™ Acetyl-CoA Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target acetyl-CoA in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
Product Type
Tricarboxylic Acid Cycle Series
Target
Acetyl-CoA
Kit Components
Sample Lysis Buffer; Substrate; Detection Reagent; Standard
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
20 μL - 100 μL
Detection Principle
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of acetyl-coa. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect acetyl-CoA content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 45 minutes
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Storage
Store at -20°C.
Shipping Conditions
Shipped with ice packs.
Target Information
Full Name
Acetyl-CoA
Alternate Names
Coenzyme A; Acetyl-CoA
Application Notes
Background
The presence and activity of acetyl-CoA are closely linked to overall organismal health. Its concentration levels are highly indicative of the functional state and metabolic vigor of the sample. As a result, therefore, profiling its activity serves as a fundamental strategy for exploring complex biological phenomena.
Application
Designed for comprehensive functional analysis of acetyl-CoA within tissue metabolism profiling, coenzyme utilization studies, and biochemical pathway modeling.
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
