The GlycoSens™ Mitochondrial Respiratory Chain Complex III Assay Kit provides an advanced, quantitative spectrophotometric method for determining mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III in biological specimens. Featuring superior kinetic linearity and high throughput compatibility, it facilitates accurate biochemical profiling.
Mitochondrial complex III, also known as CoQ-cytochrome C reductase, differs from oxidized cytochrome C. Reduced cytochrome C exhibits characteristic light absorption at 550 nm, therefore, the rate of increase in light absorption at 550 nm can reflect the enzyme activity of mitochondrial complex III.

Application Notes
Background
Mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III is recognized as a fundamental component in biological systems. It functions as an essential multi-subunit structure within the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Evaluating its levels provides researchers with invaluable insights into metabolic alterations and health status.
Application
Ideal for investigating mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III activity and metabolic turnover during functional metabolomics, organelle fraction analysis, and metabolic homeostasis research.
Key Features & Advantages
Rapid Reaction Dynamics; High Specificity; Broad Sample Compatibility
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
