The GlycoSens™ Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH) Assay Kit utilizes a highly stable detection system tailored for accurate profiling of alcohol dehydrogenase. It combines streamlined sample handling with superior signal-to-noise ratios to support dependable biochemical assessment in research applications.
Product Type
Glycolysis Series
Target
ADH
Kit Components
Sample Lysis Buffer; Substrate; Detection Reagent; Standard
Sample Types
Tissues, other biological samples
Sample Volume
10 μL - 50 μL
Detection Principle
Target alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) in samples undergoes specific enzymatic conversion or chromatic reaction, resulting in a distinct optical absorbance change monitored spectrophotometrically. The variation in absorbance intensity directly correlates with the concentration of target ADH.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Functioning at the core of various biological processes, alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) is a key subject of biochemical analysis. By mediating the transfer of electrons, it strictly regulates intermediate metabolic fluxes. In addition, accurate quantification of this target is essential for uncovering underlying pathological and physiological mechanisms.
Application
Designed for comprehensive functional analysis of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) within tissue metabolism profiling, coenzyme utilization studies, and biochemical pathway modeling.
Key Features & Advantages
Superior Accuracy; Linear Dynamic Range; Stable Signal Output
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
