The GlycoSens™ Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH) Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target alcohol dehydrogenase in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of alcohol dehydrogenase. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect ADH content in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 45 minutes
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
As a pivotal biomolecule, alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) plays a central role in complex physiological networks. It catalyzes critical oxidation-reduction reactions by transferring hydride groups to specific electron acceptors. Moreover, monitoring these changes is vital for evaluating bioenergetic efficiency and systemic resilience.
Application
Ideal for investigating alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) activity and metabolic turnover during natural product research, growth factor signaling, and developmental morphogenesis studies.
Key Features & Advantages
High Specificity; Micro-Volume Optimization; Broad Sample Compatibility
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
