The GlycoSens™ Ascorbate Oxidase (AAO) Activity Assay Kit provides a robust, high-precision analytical assay platform engineered for quantification of target ascorbate oxidase activity in varied biological matrices. Featuring a streamlined protocol, it delivers outstanding linearity and operational speed for routine biochemical assays.
The assay relies on the distinct spectroscopic optical characteristics of ascorbate oxidase activity. Upon reaction with specialized chromogenic reagents, the resulting optical density shifts measured at target wavelengths directly reflect AAO activity in the sample.
Detection Time
Within 1 hour
Required Equipment & Materials (Self-provided by User)
Visible Spectrophotometer or Microplate Reader, glass/quartz cuvettes, microcentrifuge, water bath/incubator, adjustable micropipettes, double-distilled water.
Ascorbate oxidase (AAO) activity is recognized as a fundamental component in biological systems. It mediates crucial electron transfer processes, neutralizing reactive species or facilitating biochemical oxidations. Moreover, consequently, robust measurement of this parameter is highly beneficial for comprehensive functional profiling.
Application
Ideal for investigating ascorbate oxidase activity and metabolic turnover during natural product research, growth factor signaling, and developmental morphogenesis studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Stable Signal Output; Excellent Reproducibility; Ready-to-Use Reagents
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
