The GlycoSens™ Pyruvate Decarboxylase (PDC) Assay Kit offers an advanced quantitative methodology for evaluating pyruvate decarboxylase concentration with high specificity. Designed to minimize matrix background interference, this kit facilitates high-throughput scientific profiling and consistent experimental turnaround.
The system measures chromatic product formation derived from target pyruvate decarboxylase activity. Absorbance changes tracked at optimal wavelengths allow precise quantitative determination of PDC levels.

Pyruvate Decarboxylase
Alternate Names
Pyruvate Decarboxylase; PDC
Application Notes
Background
The presence and activity of pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC) are closely linked to overall organismal health. It selectively processes distinct biochemical substrates, maintaining the efficiency of cellular networks. Tracking its dynamics facilitates a deeper understanding of cellular responses to external stressors.
Application
Ideal for investigating pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC) activity and metabolic turnover during natural product research, growth factor signaling, and developmental morphogenesis studies.
Key Features & Advantages
Robust Assay Design; Easy-to-Follow Protocol; High Signal-to-Noise Ratio
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Centrifugation of Vials: Prior to opening any reagent vials, perform a brief centrifugation to collect all powder or liquids at the bottom of the tubes.
2. Reagent Equilibration & Mixing: Allow all kit reagents and buffers to equilibrate to room temperature (25 °C) before initiating the assay.
3. Sample Storage: If samples are not assayed immediately, please store at -80 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
